Caretaker – Rosedale Part Time

Hours:
This is a permanent part-time position, 20 hours per week.

Salary band:
The likely hourly rate for this role will fall between $23.53 to $25.66.

About the role:
The purpose of this position is to maintain the property both indoors and outdoors and to clean the property each week. This is an important service role as part of our team. There are a great variety of tasks that fall within the role, including lawnmowing, garden maintenance, building maintenance and cleaning jobs such as vacuuming, cleaning windows, cleaning kitchen spaces etc. This role has the opportunity for a great work/life balance.

Key tasks:

• Groundskeeping – mowing lawns, maintaining gardens.
• Cleaning building interior, including office spaces, toilets and kitchens.
• Maintenance including small DIY jobs.

Person specification:

• Previous cleaning and maintenance experience necessary (two or more years)
• Great initiative and time management skills
• Trustworthy and reliable character a must

About the operation:

We are the local Salvation Army church and community centre based in Rosedale, North Shore. We serve the community through a variety of groups and services. You will be joining a team of five people passionate about serving others.
