Cleaner – Pt Chevalier Full Time

Tuesday to Saturday, 0700-1530

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join the fabulous team at Selwyn Village, Independent Living in Pt Chevalier on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Resident Hospitality, all duties assigned to you in a manner that meets the high standards set by The Selwyn Foundation. Remember at all times that you are working in someone’s “home”, you will be an effective team member in a manner that best reflects The Selwyn Way (faith, care, independence, wellness)

Each resident is an individual, to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

As a Cleaner, you will provide support and assistance to residents to ensure the cleanliness of the residents’ home is maintained to a high standard. Work is planned to meet the needs of the residents and each area is completed before moving to the next.

To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about working in an aged-care environment.

Other requirements include:

• Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience – ideally in an Aged Care / hospitality environment
• Ability to work within a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Valid NZ work permit
• Good computer skills are advantageous
