Residential Care Cleaner – Glendowie Full Time

St Andrew’s Village is a 190-bed aged residential care facility. We are quality and customer driven. We currently have a vacancy in our cleaning team. This role would suit someone with a cleaning background. Housekeeping or cleaning experience will be highly regarded, however if you have the passion to learn and enjoy being part of a great fun team, we will happily provide the training for you to succeed.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Cleaning Team Manager, you will be responsible for following a roster for a selection of cleaning duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Arrive on time as rostered for cleaning services
2. Ensure your equipment is functional and used in the correct manner.
3. Be aware of resident’s personal belongings and furniture so as not to cause damage.
4. Report any issues or damage you notice to the management.
5. Strong attention to detail at all levels of the room and be able to work unsupervised.
6. Maintain and recognize high levels of hygiene and sanitation

The ideal Candidate:

1. An energetic and passionate person who enjoys engaging with people
2. Extremely honest with a high attention to detail
3. High standards of personal grooming
4. Have excellent communication skills, particularly with older residents
5. Fit and healthy and able to carry cleaning equipment
6. Able to work on a rotational roster that covers week days and weekends
7. Hold a full, clean driver’s license
