Terminal Cleaner – Rotorua Airport Part Time

Rotorua Airport is the gateway to the central North Island. The Airport is a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) and reports to an independent Board of Directors. Rotorua Airport has daily Air New Zealand flights between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Rotorua Airport is a progressive organisation with opportunity for ongoing development.

We are now taking applications for someone to join our Terminal Cleaner/Customer Care team. The Airport Customer Service team perform a wide variety of tasks, with the core function of the role being cleanliness of the terminal.

The position is a part time role with fixed days Sunday – Wednesday, 8:00am until 4:30pm.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of an exciting organisation. The Key Responsibilities of the role are:

• Cleaning of the terminal
• Car Parking including payments/policing the drop off zone/ payment machines/ trolley bay management and rubbish collection
• Customer assistance 

The ideal candidate for this role would:

• Have previous cleaning experience;
• Be an understanding of health and safety principles and practices;
• Have excellent communication and customer service ability;
• Be well presented, organised and capable of working unsupervised.

Amongst the many aspects to this position, the candidate would be required always to act as a brand ambassador for the organisation; as such they would need to be outgoing and friendly, with a positive attitude.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to a pre-employment MOJ Check and Drug & Alcohol Test.
