Hostel Laundry & Cleaner – New Plymouth Part Time

To provide a range of laundry and cleaning services at NPBHS Hostel.

Hours of Work:

20 hours per week generally worked between Tuesday and Saturday 10am – 2pm.
NB: There may be occasions, from time to time, where extra work is required in the term holidays. Hours may increase in response to workload.

Key Accountabilities:

• Hostel laundry including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and assisting the boys laundry pick-up.
• Cleaning of all Hostel areas (external and internal) including, laundry, dormitories lounge, dining room, toilet(s), windows and a full spring clean as and when required (generally each term).

Other Accountabilities:

• Support students and staff with laundry and/or cleaning services.
• Any other duties as directed by the Director of Boarding or Matron.

Preferred Competencies:

• Physically competent to perform duties.
• High level of personal cleanliness.
• Organised
• Effective time management.
• Full, clean drivers license.

The remuneration for this position will be negotiated dependent on experience (Concurrent with the `Support Staff in Schools” collective agreement).
Applicants for this position should have NZ Residency or a valid NZ work permit.
