Hotel Cleaning Team Member Full-Time

About Us:

The Avenue Hotel Whanganui is a large, fast-paced hotel committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Housekeeping Cleaner to join our team for 30 hrs. a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Thoroughly clean and service guest rooms and units to the highest standard. Work efficiently under strict deadlines to ensure rooms are ready on time. Maintain cleanliness of common areas as needed. Collaborate with the housekeeping team to achieve daily targets. Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Reliability: Punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts.
Team Player: Able to work collaboratively and support fellow staff members.
Physically Fit: Capable of handling physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing and walking for extended periods. Our team can walk in excess of 10,000 steps per day.
Industry Passion: Genuine interest in hospitality and housekeeping.

Hours and Schedule:

NOTE: Primary Weekend Work: Saturdays and Sundays
Additional Hours: Monday and Sunday as needed – combined total of weekend and weekdays – 30hrs minimum.
Typical Shift Times: Generally start around 9:00 a.m. and finish between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.; however, shift times may vary depending on operational needs and circumstances.
