School Cleaner – Parua Bay Holidays Permanent Part-Time

We are looking for an energetic cleaner to join our dedicated team of support staff.

Our school is a co-educational state full primary school, catering for Years 1 to 8,  situated in the picturesque coastal community of Parua Bay.  We have a roll of just under 320 students.

This position is critical to the effective operation of our school – you will be responsible for helping keep our school clean and tidy for our tamariki.  This is a 52-week position (inclusive of Annual Leave) working 27.5 hours per week. You will be working Monday to Friday during term-time (hours must be worked outside of normal school operating hours) and some of the school holidays: approx. one week of each term break and approx. four weeks over the summer break to prepare the school buildings for the summer closure and then get ready again for start-up in the new school year.

Hourly rate: As per the Caretakers’, Cleaners’ and Canteen Staff in Schools’ Collective Agreement

Responsibilities:

• Provide a range of cleaning services to maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Skills & experience required:

• Previous cleaning experience is an advantage, but not essential.
• Great attention to detail
• Friendly and reliable
• Good communication skills
